Welcome
A warm welcome from us all at the Lodge of Integrity No 5149, a Lodge that you should definitely put on your short-list to join or visit. We are renowned as a friendly and supportive lodge, and we also have some unique qualities that we would be delighted to show and discuss with you.
Consecrated on the 19th of December 1929, the Lodge of Integrity is the third oldest Lodge in Chelmsford; and was formed to help alleviate the congestion that existed in the two older lodges, the Lodge of Good Fellowship and the Springfield Lodge. The name Integrity was chosen for several reasons, foremost amongst them was the fact that the letter G (representing God) is central to the word Integrity as it is central to the lives of many Freemasons.
The first master was W.Bro F.J. French, who was the proprietor of a Chelmsford building firm, a firm now owned by one of our current members. The first Initiate after the consecration of the lodge was that of the Right Rev. A.E. Wilson, Lord Bishop of Chelmsford.
The Lodge has an excellent track record in fundraising and donations to charitable causes, exemplified by recently obtaining Grand Patron status for the 2022 Festival.
Lodge of Integrity is happy to consider applications from potential new members.
